Gladstone Church of Christ believes God’s mission is to the whole world. As a church we are involved directly with several mission agencies. These include SU Chaplaincy in Schools, 91.9 Fresh FM – Gladstone’s community Radio Station, Mareeba Community Church in far North Qld, Londua Technical College on Ambae Island, Vanuatu and Australian Churches of Christ Overseas Missions organization called GMP. Individuals from the church have a wide range of missionary interest and involvement including the following: R.E. Teachers in Schools, Gideons International; Watoto Children’s Ministry and Compassion.
We have developed a sister relationship with this church starting in 2004. Our sister Church is Under the Banner of the AICF which is Qld Churches of Christ Outreach to Aboriginal and Islander peoples. We have visited them every 18 months in January or July and they have also visited us on several occasions.
Londua is on Ambae Island, the “Bali Hai” of James Michener’s “South Pacific”. For many years it has been turning out National leaders for all walks of life from Church and Political Leaders to military personnel, tradesmen, seamstresses, cooks and village leaders. It remains a leading educational institution in the nation of Vanuatu. Ps Lyall and his family lived near the school for 4 ½ years. A work party from the church went to the school in May/June 2007 and a second trip is planned. We are now supporting the school chaplain.

We financially support the Station as well as having several members involved in paid and voluntary capacities at the station.
We support the Local Chaplaincy Committee financially. Since 2000 at least one of the local Chaplains have been members of this congregation. We help staff Brekky Club and actively support Fundraising events and Chaplaincy programs.
